Ecological Integrity

The Environmental Indicators Monitoring Program at Parc national de Plaisance

Since 2004, the Environmental Indicators Monitoring Program (EIMP) (see also the summary, in French only) has been implemented at Parc national de Plaisance. A total of 21 indicators are monitored. Since Plaisance is a territory subject to significant peripheral human pressure, we have monitoring programs to check the usage of peripheral areas of the park. Since the park’s location makes it conducive to bird migration and nesting, we also monitor breeding birds that stop here, including a rare species: the Least Bittern.
