Regulations
Québec parks are protected areas where everyone can practice a wide array of outdoor activities and benefit from a pleasant stay in a safe setting. Thank you for taking the time to read the general regulations.
Special Notices Concerning the Park
- A municipal by-law prohibits the presence of dogs on Île d'Anticosti, including within the limits of the park.
- Open-air fires are prohibited throughout the island, except in places provided for this purpose (in particular on campgrounds and in certain picnic areas.)
- Smoking in vehicles is prohibited.
- As in all parks, it is forbidden to pick plants, gather or cut wood, and collect natural elements, such as fossils or artifacts from shipwrecks.
- Shipwrecks are dangerous places: it is forbidden to enter them.
- Before visiting a cave, find out its level of difficulty at the McDonald Visitors Centre and be sure to obtain a helmet there.
