On île Anticosti, distances are important! The island, which is 222 km long and 54 km wide, is an immense natural territory that is crossed from west to east by route Henri-Menier, also known as "the TransAnticostienne", a dirt road to which several secondary roads are connected. A substantial distance may separate your place of accommodation from the attraction that you wish to visit, whether in or outside the park. Be sure to take this distance into account when you plan your

Discovery Circuits
With your vehicle, follow our park warden-naturalist and discover the special attractions of Parc national d'Anticosti and the island. The circuits last four hours. At stopping points along the way, the park warden will explain the phenomenon you are observing. Circuit schedules available in the Visitors Centres.
Guided Interpretation Outing
An interpretation outing on horseback is available. Reservations are required for
this activitiy and a fee schedule applies.
Self-Interpretation Trails and Outings
The park also proposes several self-interpretation outings and trails, both in the northern sector (McDonald) and the southern sector (Chicotte-la-Mer) of the island. You can obtain an interpretation sheet or brochure at the nearest Visitors Centre. Self-Interpretation Trails and Outings
Écoguide
To help plan your stay in the park and to enrich your knowledge, you can also obtain the Écoguide d'Anticosti, an interpretation document containing maps as well as several proposed outings. This guide contains a wealth of information on the natural environment and the history of Anticosti.
You can order it when you make reservations or purchase it on site, at Sépaq's main office in Port-Menier or at either the McDonald or Chicotte-la-Mer Visitors Centre. (Cost: $5.43 plus taxes)
