Parc national du Mont-Tremblant is a vast territory where nature is a waltz of rounded mountains, lakes and rivers. So that you can discover and appreciate these landscapes from a new angle, this year the park is offering a unique mountain experience called Via ferrata du Diable. Very popular in Europe, “via ferrata”, Italian for “iron roads”, have been gradually appearing in Québec over the past few years.
Making its grand premiere in Québec’s national parks, this circuit on the cliffs of the Vache Noire at the entrance to La Diable sector promises a feast for the eyes! You will never forget this hike, which takes place with a professional guide who will lead you in total safety over beams, different kinds of bridges and two footpaths. Imagine progressing gently to a footpath that will give you a bird’s-eye view of the sinuous Rivière du Diable. At the horizon, after climbing to 200 m in altitude, you will literally be struck by the spectacular view of the mountains, which are ever-present all along the circuit. You’ll never see this majestic park in quite the same way again…
You don’t have to be a mountain climber to enjoy this new experience. All of the necessary safety equipment is provided for the hike, which is a perfect introduction to the mountain. Before you set off on the trail, you will take a training circuit that will familiarize you with the basics of via ferrata.
