Outdoor Activities - Summer and Fall
Swimming
Two supervised and serviced beaches with playground areas welcome swimmers at Parc national du Mont-Orford, namely Stukely Beach and Fraser Beach.
Period: From the start of June to the first weekend of September 2008
Canoeing and Other Water Sports Activities
Enjoy a day out on the water. Small boats can be rented at Fraser and Stukely beaches.
Period: From mid-May to mid-October 2008
Golfing
An 18-hole panoramic golf course delights vacationers in the Orford Sector alongside Route 141. Services such as golf club and golf cart rentals, a practice green, a snack bar, a bar and a reception hall add to your comfort.
Period: From early May to the end of October 2008
Cycling
A section of the Route Verte, the TransQuébec cycling network, crosses the park from east to west. While pedaling, enjoy discovering the park with the help of interpretation panels; you will be able to take advantage of rest and restaurant areas.
Period: From early May to the end of October 2008
Hiking
Hiking trails, which are mainly concentrated in the L'Étang Aux Cerises sector, form a network of over 80 km of trails laid out to offer you memorable moments of discovery. The mix of fall colours will enchant both young and old.
Period: From early May to the end of November 2008 (depending on snow conditions)
Note: The Route 1 barrier (campground road) closes in mid-October
Backpacking
The itinerary of long backpacking treks proposes a recreational adventure on a portion of Les Sentiers de l'Estrie network that crosses the park from north to south. The star attraction is the spectacular Des Crêtes Trail. Primitive camping platforms ensure hikers peaceful nights. Reservations required.
