Outdoor Activities - Summer and Fall
Nautical Activities (canoe/kayak)
Why not discover these great "water" gardens in canoe or kayak? Become an explorer and find the aquatic treasures awaiting you, all the way from Lac Arthabaska to the Wabano dam. Around the bend, you'll be charmed by a heron in flight or the lament of a common loon, and maybe even the shy gaze of a moose. What a beautiful and peaceful way to discover plant and animal life. This four-lake route is a safe way to introduce yourself to canoeing and kayaking. The less adventurous will appreciate the clear and calm waters of Lac Turgeon, ideal for outings of an hour or less.

Parc national des Grands-Jardins is one of the rare territories in Québec to offer exclusively indigenous trout fishing. No fish stocking here. Preserving the resource for current and future generations requires careful management. The collaboration of fishing enthusiasts is essential to the success of the park’s conservation mission and we thank everyone for their help.
With the goal of preserving the resource and satisfying the fishing clientele, the park manages bodies of water on the basis of lake quotas and equality among anglers.
Park management selected about twenty lakes. At least once during their stay, each fishing group will be offered one of these lakes. The park’s staff allocates other lakes on a personalized basis, taking each person’s preferences into account. Limited quotas apply to certain lakes. Fishing is allowed upon arrival, but with a quota and a limited number of boats. Fishing on the lake in front of the cabin is never guaranteed.
For the list of selected lakes and other lakes in your cabin’s sector, consult the 2008 fishing plan.
