Parc national de la Gaspésie offers 22 km of groomed cross country ski trails. The Mont-Albert sector receives over 3 m of snow annually. It is well-distributed between mid-December and mid-March, making for excellent snow conditions all winter long.
You can enjoy alpine touring, telemark and snowboarding in the 5 skiing areas, featuring snow fields and glades. These spots are accessible from Route 299, 8 to 12 km south of the Discovery and Visitors Centre

Access to these places requires travel by car and a walk varying between 30 minutes and 3 hours. Depending on your destination and your level of physical fitness, it takes, on average, a little less than an hour for each of these climbs. The difference in elevation varies between 100 and 350 m.
Guided Excursion with Ski Chic-Chocs: Alpine Touring
With departures from the park’s Discovery and Visitors Centre, Ski Chic-Chocs offers Alpine Touring, which includes a full day of off-track skiing or snowboarding using climbing skins to make your way back up the slope, the services of qualified guides, avalanche safety equipment and lunch. Skiers and snowboarders are taken to the alpine area in Réserve faunique des Chic-Chocs next to Parc national de la Gaspésie. From there you’ll enjoy hours of spectacular autonomous gliding and descents down powdery slopes. Groups of 2 to 12 people. (1 guide for a maximum of 6 people). Rendezvous at the Discovery and Visitors Centre at 8:30 a.m. and return to the Centre around 4 p.m.

Guided Excursion with Ski Chic-Chocs: The Exclusive
Ski Chic-Chocs offers The Exclusive, with departures from the park’s Discovery and Visitors Centre. This package includes a full day of skiing or snowboarding and lifts in a Snow Cat vehicle, the service of qualified guides, avalanche safety equipment, and lunch. Transportation to the alpine area in Réserve faunique des Chic-Chocs next to Parc national de la Gaspésie is included. You’ll enjoy hours of spectacular autonomous gliding. The Snow Cat will take you up to the summit so you can ski back down the powdery slopes. Groups of 4 to 8 people. Rendezvous at the Discovery and Visitors Centre at 8:30 a.m. and return to the Centre at around 4 p.m.
Against the backdrop of a winter wonderland, snowshoe buffs can enjoy 13 trails ranging in length from 1.7 to 18 km in the Discovery and Visitors Centre sector and on the grounds of Réserve faunique des Chic-Chocs.

Discover the mountains on snowshoes with a qualified interpretive guide from Ski Chic-Chocs. Take a Snow Cat to and from the alpine area. A full day of activities in a fabulous environment. Groups of 2 to 16 people. Rendezvous at the Discovery and Visitors Centre at 8:30 a.m. and return to the Centre at around 4 p.m.

Eight lakes and two rivers (wading) are available for day fishing. A boat is provided on most of the lakes. For the others, a personal boat is required. Anglers can fish for speckled trout, arctic charr and lake trout.
Are you a fan of salmon fishing? In the upstream sector of Rivière Saint-Anne, salmon fishing with mandatory catch-and-release is practised from June 15 to September 30, 2014. You can fish with waders or from a canoe. A variety of fishing packages with a guide and accommodation are available. Reserve with Destinations Chic-Chocs inc.
Trails ranging in length from 1 to 17 km give hikers ample opportunity to experience the park's mountainous environment. High barren peaks, glacial cirques and signs of wildlife are just some interesting elements of these daily hikes. In May, June, October and November, contact the park to find out which trails are open.
A 100-km trail crosses the park from Mont Logan to Mont Jacques-Cartier. Escape into majestic landscapes featuring barren peaks soaring over 1,000 m high, and snowfall that persists until mid-summer. The route takes you through moose and caribou habitat and is part of the International Appalachian Trail. Passenger transportation service is available.

Two or four-day guided hikes on the section stretching between the Huard hut (lac Thibault) to the Gîte du Mont-Albert. The package includes the services of qualified guides, hut accommodations, meals, snacks, shuttle bus to the departure point and baggage transport from one hut to the next. One day of preparation can be added just before your departure.
Next to the Gîte and overlooking the panorama of Mont Albert, the heated outdoor pool is constantly supervised by a certified instructor. Enjoy sunbathing in the lounge chairs while the kids play in the water, or dive in yourself! Exclusive to our overnight guests.
Le Gîte's dining room seats up to 150 guests and offers fine dining in a mountain setting. The chef, Guillaume Charbonneau, invites you to feast on marvellous dishes in a warm, relaxed atmosphere. See the wine list (in French only) and the menu.
For your mountain hikes, the kitchen can pack you a lunch box. You can pick it up as early as 6 a.m. if you order the night before.

Before you sit down to eat, enjoy an aperitif at the Gite's bar. You can relax anytime by the fireplace or by the window and admire the splendid view of Mont Albert. Lunch served from 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Until 6 p.m., the bar can also provide a light meal. It seats up to 70 people.
The location is unique, as will be your meetings. There are two rooms: Le Sous-Bois and Montagnards. They're practical and can comfortably accommodate groups of 10 to 100 people. You'll be delighted with the superb fireplace in Montagnards room. Audiovisual equipment is available on a rental basis and wireless Internet service is offered at the hotel. There is also an amphitheatre in the Discovery and Visitors Centre. It can seat 90 people.
Gîte du Mont-Albert has 60 rooms: 48 in the hotel and 10 rooms and 2 suites in the Caribou Lodge just behind the hotel. All of the rooms are set at an angle to give you a magnificent view of Mont Albert.
Each room has a private bathroom, a phone, a iPod station, a coffeemaker, a hair dryer, a worktable with two chairs. These housing units are for non-smokers only. Le Gîte and Le Caribou are accessible to the mobility-impaired.
Television (17 channels) and high-speed wireless Internet access in the hotel rooms. Internet is also available in at the hotel bar. The rooms in the Caribou Lodge are equipped with televisions.

The Gîte's 18 cabins are all separated from each other. These charming one- or two-storey cabins are powered with electricity, and most have a bathroom, fireplace or woodstove, a living room with sofa, a telephone, towels and sheets. Fifteen of the cabins, all located near Gîte du Mont-Albert, have a fully-equipped kitchen. They sleep from 2 to 8 people and are a perfect choice for special moments between family, friends and couples.
The 5 De la Rivière cabins are set by Rivière Sainte-Anne, 0.5 km from the hotel. They consist of one large room, and they all have electricity, a queen-size bed, a kitchenette (stove without oven, mini-fridge, dishes, microwave and coffee-maker), bathroom with shower, and linens. These cabins have no telephones, fireplaces or woodstoves. They sleep 2 people. There is an area outside for making fires (wood for sale at the Discovery and Visitors Centre). There is also a picnic table.
