Annual Park and Network Cards

A park entry fee has been in effect in the 22 national parks of the Parcs Québec network since April 1, 2001. Therefore, to enter a park, you must pay the daily entry fee or use the Annual Parcs Québec Card, which is available in two formats:

  • Annual Park Card : gives you access to one national park for 12 months.
  • Annual Network Card : gives you access to all 22 national parks for 12 months.

This entry fee also represents your contribution to the preservation and development of Québec's natural heritage, as all proceeds will be entirely reinvested in the parks for the benefit of present and future generations. The government has implemented an affordable and advantageous park entry fee system that applies uniformly to the entire Parcs Québec network. When you purchase an Annual Parcs Québec Card you have access to all 22 parks for a 12-month period. A unique advantage in Québec!

Annual Park and Network Cards can be purchased at the following locations :

  • On the Web site
  • At this toll-free number 1 800 665-6527
  • In the national parks during operating seasons
  • At the Sales and Reservation Office in Québec City (Place de la Cité)
  • At the Montréal Infotouriste Centre (Peel and Sainte-Catherine)

Beach Parking Fees

The park entry fee replaces all parking fees, except for beach parking fees for Frontenac, Pointe-Taillon, Yamaska, Oka and Mont-Orford national parks. Due to the large number of visitors, the supervised beaches of these parks have high maintenance and management costs. Parking rates do not apply when you are staying in park accommodations during the times indicated on the confirmation of registration. See the beach parking fees table. (Appendix 1)

If You are Staying in a Park

Please note that starting on April 1, 2008, customers staying at the park must pay park entry fees in addition to accommodations fees. Presently, the entry fee is added to camping fees.

Additional Cards (fees)

Only one primary card will be issued, whatever the category (adult, children aged 6 to 17 or family). However, with the purchase of a family card, Sépaq can issue additional cards for other members of the family (spouse and children aged 6 to 17). The first additional card is free and others are available for $2 each (plus taxes). Please note that the purchase of additional cards is not mandatory.

Card Validity

You must sign your card, and each member of your family member must sign their own additional cards. Your card is valid for a period of 12 months starting from the month confirmed at the time of purchase until the last day of the same month a year later. For example, if the month perforated is June 2008, your card will be valid until June 30, 2009.

Each time you visit the park, you must show your card at the park gatehouse or Visitors Centre as the case may be. If you are unable to show your card, a non-refundable entry fee must be paid.

Sépaq of staff members may ask you to show your card at any time to verify its validity by comparing the signature on the card with the signature on another recognized piece identification.

Mailing Fees and Delivery Period

The card you purchase by phone or by Internet will be sent to you by mail. A mailing fee of $0.85 (+ taxes) applies per delivery. If they are purchased at the same time, your principal card and additional cards will be mailed in the same envelope. Count 10 working days for delivery.

Exchange and Modification

Exchanging an Annual Park Card for an Annual Network Card
If you have an Annual Park Card, you may, by paying the rate difference, exchange the card for an Annual Network Card (the reverse is not possible). The expiry date of the new card will remain the same as that of the Park Card. This exchange may only be made in a park, and not by Internet or by phone. There is a $10 fee for card exchanges. For families with several cards, these fees will not exceed $10 (+ taxes).

Changing the Month the Card is Valid
The cardholder can move back the month the Park or Network Cards becomes valid. This change may only be made in a park, and not by Internet or by phone. There is $10 fee (+ taxes) for card changes. For families with several cards, these fees will not exceed $10 (+ taxes).

Changes Before or During a Visit
If you have already paid the park entry fee, you may buy an Annual Park or Network Card either before or during a visit by paying the difference in price between the entry fee and the card. No such transactions are possible after the visit is over.

Loss, Theft or Damage

Sépaq shall not be liable for the loss, theft or damage of the primary or additional cards. If any of these situations arise, the cardholder must pay a $10 (+ taxes) replacement fee.

Restrictions

The Annual Parcs Québec Card :

  • Does not offer any reduction on park accommodations or packages.
  • Does not offer any priority access to parks.
  • May not be transferred, refunded or redeemed for cash. It shall remain the property of Sépaq.

The park's management reserves the right to limit access to the park, to certain activities, or to certain sectors with no possible recourse for holders of Parcs Québec Cards (Park or Network).

The Park or Network Cards covers all parking fees except those for the beaches at Frontenac, Pointe-Taillon, Yamaska, Oka and Mont-Orford national parks. Parking rates do not apply when you are staying in a park accommodations unit during the times indicated on the confirmation of registration.

The card is null and void if more than one month is perforated.

Sépaq's Liability

Sépaq shall not be liable for accidents, losses, or damages that Annual Parcs Québec (Park or Network) cardholders may suffer.

Obeying Regulations

Cardholders must obey park regulations in effect as well as any specific direction that a park manager may give.

Sépaq reserves the right to terminate, with no possibility of refund or recourse for the cardholder, the card of any individual who contravenes card use or park regulations by practising, for example, a prohibited activity.
