Set off on the trails of Parc national de la Gaspésie for a short 30-minute hike or for the whole day. Some of the trails are quite flat and require no particular equipment, making them ideal for beginners or young families. For others, located in a mountainous area, hikers must be in good shape and bring some equipment with them. A network of 10 lakes awaits trout-fishing buffs. You can also rent a kayak or canoe and peacefully explore Lac Cascapédia.

Who wouldn’t love snowshoeing up Mont Olivine or cross country skiing at Lac aux Américains. For snowshoeing fans, there are seven trails ranging in length from 1.6 to 16 km, accessible from the Discovery and Visitors Centre area. Three mechanically groomed cross country skiing trails are also available in the same sector. For those who love short backcountry skiing treks, marked trails which are not mechanically groomed are available in different sectors. In the snow fields, visitors can also enjoy sliding sports, such as telemark.

Go from one discovery to the next. A variety of activities spotlight the most characteristic aspects of the Gaspésian mountains. Experience the Far North at the top of Mont Jacques-Cartier or admire a Land of Contrast on the Mont Albert plateau. These one-hour discovery hikes are a must! But if you prefer to stay at the foot of the mountain, many talks given at the Discovery and Visitors Centre about the park’s plant and animal life will animate your evenings starting at 8 PM.
