Regulations

Québec parks are protected areas where everyone can practise a wide array of outdoor activities and benefit from a pleasant stay in a safe setting. Thank you for taking the time to read the general regulations and the regulations governing camping.

Warning:

Going off trails located in preservation areas is prohibited. Typical tundra vegetation growing on the park's high, barren peaks cannot survive if walked upon.
Access to Mont Jacques-Cartier is allowed from 10 AM to 4 PM from June 24 to September 30 only. It is prohibited from October 1 to 31 (caribou mating season) and from May 1 to June 23 (calving period).
The weather is very harsh on the plateaus and mountains in winter, particularly in December, January, and February.
To protect the caribou during rutting season, as well as the natural environment, access to Albert and Xalibu mountains is prohibited from October 1 to mid-June
