Regulations
Québec parks are protected areas where everyone can practise a wide array of outdoor activities and benefit from a pleasant stay in a safe setting. Thank you for taking the time to read the general regulations and the regulations governing camping.
Warning:
- Going off trails located in preservation areas is prohibited. Typical tundra vegetation growing on the park's high, barren peaks cannot survive if walked upon.
- Access to Mont Jacques-Cartier is allowed from 10 AM to 4 PM from June 24 to September 30 only. It is prohibited from October 1 to 31 (caribou mating season) and from May 1 to June 23 (calving period).
- The weather is very harsh on the plateaus and mountains in winter, particularly in December, January, and February.
- To protect the caribou during rutting season, as well as the natural environment, access to Albert and Xalibu mountains is prohibited from October 1 to mid-June
