Outdoor Activities - Summer and Fall
Canoeing, Kayaking and Water Sports Activities
The
many lakes each have their
own characteristics and
offer conditions that are
sure to please water sports
enthusiasts, whatever their
preferences. Lac Loïs, one
of the largest lakes in
the park, is also a wonderful
spot for sea kayaking. When
you go canoeing or rabaska
canoeing on the La Haie
and Sault fault lakes, you
will discover the geological
side of the park. If you
would like to bring your
own boat, please note that
access to certain lakes
is difficult. It is important
to get information from
a reception clerk. Boat
rental is possible for the
park's major lakes. Group kayak, canoe and rabasca canoe activities are available upon reservation.
Period: From May 16 to September 1, 2008
Canoe-Camping and Kayak-Camping
There are 13 campsites for canoeists and kayakers on Lac Loïs. The many birds that frequent the area make the experience even more enjoyable. During the excursion, you can stop for a picnic.
Period: From May 16 to September 1, 2008
 Fishing
Whether
you're visiting for one
day or several, you can
go fishing on a number of
the park's lakes. Tantalize
brook trout in lakes Frontière,
Vose, Perché and MacNamara.
Northern pike and walleye
anglers can try their luck
at Lac Loïs, located at
the Taschereau sector. Close
to this vast body of water
(1,363 hectares) is the
Ojibway walk-in campground
as well as 13 primitive
camping areas along the
shores. Canoe and sea kayak
(solo, tandem or family) rentals
are available at the Information
Kiosk in this sector. Fishers
who have their own boats
enjoy easy access to the
lake Lac Loïs.
Fishing packages with accommodations are available now.

Wildlife Observation
Parc national d'Aiguebelle is an excellent place for observing wildlife. An interpretation and observation brochure is also available at the park's Boutique Nature. As well as moose, beaver, Connecticut Warbler, otter or sharp-tailed grouse, in this pamphlet you'll find a map directing you to their observation sites. The park is proud to be a member of the Réseau d'observation faunique de l'Abitibi-Témiscamingue.
