LOCATION

The Village historique de Val-Jalbert is located approximately 80 kilometres from Jonquière and 100 kilometres from Chicoutimi on highway 169, between Chambord and Roberval.
ACCESS

From Jonquière
Take highway 170 towards Lac-Saint-Jean, then highway 169 North towards Roberval. Once past Chambord, follow directions for the Village historique de Val-Jalbert.


From the réserve faunique des Laurentides
Continue on highway 169 North to Hébertville, then, still on highway 169, follow directions for Val-Jalbert in the direction of Roberval (Val-Jalbert is 8 kilometres from the town of Chambord).

From Trois-Rivières
Highway 155 will take you directly to Chambord, a town on Lac Saint-Jean, eight kilometres from Val-Jalbert. Then take highway 169 North and follow directions for the Village historique de Val-Jalbert.

OPERATING PERIOD

The Village historique, is open from May 1 to October 31, 2008.

The campground and mini-cabins are open from mid-May to the end of September 2008.

Hotel rooms and houses are available for rent from May 1 to October 31, 2008. You can also rent them during the winter season.

Theatrical animation in the Village historique is in full swing from June 20 to August 17, 2008.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

No means of public transportation serves the Resort directly. However, you can reach Chambord, the closest town, by bus or train.

UNIVERSAL ACCESS

The streets of the Village historique and some buildings, such as the first floor of the general store, the convent and the mill, are accessible to people in wheelchairs.
