The Houses of Val-Jalbert
Are you in the mood for a comfortable Lac-Saint-Jean vacation? Rent a house 4 1/2 pieces in Val-Jalbert and visit the countless attractions of Québec's most effervescent tourist region! Val-Jalbert has seven comfortably appointed houses for rent, with the added bonus of the natural beauty and exceptional atmosphere of the Village historique. The houses all have two air-conditioned stories and accommodate four people. They include kitchen with a stove, fridge and microwave, living room with television, complete bathroom and two bedrooms. Bedding and dishes are also included.

Rental Period: from May 1 to October 31, 2008. You can also rent these houses during the Christmas holidays and the Spring Break (in March).


Hotel Rooms
As they did in the old days, Val-Jalbert visitors and some workers stay at the village hotel, located on the top floor of the old general store. Five comfortable rooms with one or two double beds each, are offered. All of the rooms have air conditioning, a television and a bathroom with shower.

Period : From May 1 to October 31, 2008.You can also rent these houses during the Christmas holidays and the Spring Break (in March).

"Mini-cabins"

"Mini-cabins", an alternative to motel rooms and camping, offer an economic formula that will charm small families in search of nature! Designed for four people, the "mini-cabins" are electrically heated. Each cottage (3.6 metres by 4.3 metres or 12 feet by 14 feet) includes a kitchen module (2-burner stove, mini-fridge and sink). (One of the mini-cabins also includes a shower and a toilet.). Dishes are supplied but you need to bring your own bedding, although you can rent bedding for the length of your stay. Washroom facilities are located approximately 45 metres (150 feet) from the cottages.

CAMPING

The campground is set in a lovely spot by the Rivière Ouiatchouan, entry of the Village Historique. It consists of 190 sites, scattered through a deciduous and coniferous forest. Sixty of these sites are equipped with three services (water, electricity, and sewage hookups), thirty of them offer two services and one hundred have no services. Campers have access to washroom facilities, shelters with picnic tables, two small laudromats and a pump-out station.
