Québec City, April 7, 2016. – Sépaq would like to inform the general public that the transfer process for the Fort-Prével site is officially underway.
In accordance with the decision reached at the end of the 2015 season, Sépaq is definitively ending its activities at Auberge et Golf Fort-Prével. Sépaq had previously initiated a call for tenders so as to ensure takeover of the site. Unfortunately no tender was received.
Following a meeting held on February 18, 2016, involving various representatives from the milieu (the Minister of Forests, Wildlife and Parks, Laurent Lessard; the Minister responsible for the Gaspésie region, Sébastien Proulx; and John MacKay, CEO of Sépaq), the parties continued their discussions and arrived at a solution for the future of Fort-Prével.
The discussions led to an agreement in principle with representatives from the milieu, who are forming a non-profit organization that will take possession of the site. It is important to note that during the same meeting, it was confirmed that, for financial reasons, Sépaq would not operate the site in 2016.
Since its activities have now come to an end, Sépaq must lay off all Auberge et Golf Fort-Prével staff as of April 7, 2016.
Sépaq wishes to thank the clientele of Auberge et Golf Fort-Prével and would especially like to express its gratitude to the employees for the excellent services rendered over these past years.
Please note that our Sales and Reservations Office will soon be contacting clients with a booking at Auberge et Golf Fort-Prével for the 2016 season.
