Parc de la Chute-Montmorency - Manoir Montmorency

The open air, a stroll outdoors, and a panoramic view-what a way to whet your appetite! Parc de la Chute-Montmorency is a dream location for a family picnic. Tables are available for visitors at several site locations. A big tent near the Manoir is also open to the public. It's perfect in the event of bad weather.

Three playgrounds are available for young children.

Trails 0.5 to 3 km long criss-cross the park. Go for a stroll to see the falls and the site's curiosities from many angles. Exceptional panoramas are yours to discover! For a good physical workout, try the panoramic staircase with its 487 steps from the bottom to the top of the park. It snakes its way up the side of the cliff, enabling you to see and hear the powerful falls.

Two bike paths cut through the park: one above the falls and the other below. The one below runs by the river along Route 138. It links Domaine Maizeret to Côte-de-Beaupré while going by Montmorency Falls. Above the falls, the other path follows Avenue Royale through Beauport. It leads to Boischatel and the Côte-de-Beaupré plateau. Combine the two paths by using the cable car! This offer is valid if room on the cable car permits.

In winter, the hiking trails are accessible on foot or on showshoes. Go for a walk to the park's cove and admire the falls from several vantage points. Amid snow and ice, the water still surges over the falls. You might see a few ice climbers moving about on the frozen rock faces...

In winter, ice climbers tackle the frozen rock faces of the cliffs on each side of the falls. Théâtre La Dame Blanche is set on the edge of the cliff just a few steps from Manoir Montmorency and the cable car station. The theatre holds 470 people and there are 6 places for wheelchairs. For an even more enjoyable evening, have dinner at Manoir Montmorency before the show.

Les Voisins

Les Voisins, a caustic comedy in which Claude Meunier (Ding et Dong, La p'tite vie, Broue) and Louis Saïa (Les Boys, Broue) describes, with dazzling realism, a fictitious world where respect for others is replaced by interest in one's car, one's gadgets and one's hedge.

The play is presented in French only from July 22 to August 28, 2010 from Thursday to Saturday at 8 p.m. (except on the nights of the Loto-Québec International Fireworks Competition, 6:30 p.m.).

Come meet Mathilde Robin, the young women with a broken heart who became the legendary Dame Blanche meet her at the Boichatel hydro platform near the suspended bridge at  12:30 pm - 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Take part in a historic meeting with Sir Frederick Haldimand, 3rd governor of the province of Québec. Meet near the Manoir Montmorency fountain at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

The Chef and His Cooking

Martin Côté is the reputed executive chef at Manoir Montmorency. He'll charm you with his fine cuisine and regional specialities. His experiences at several renowned restaurants and hotels have honed his ability to handle events. He also teaches at École Hôtelière de la Capitale, where he graduated in 1995.
