In winter, ice climbers tackle the frozen rock faces of the cliffs on each side of the falls. Introductory courses are available through the climbing school, l'Ascensation, run by François-Guy Thivierge. An exceptional setting for an exceptional experience! Kids from 5 to 8 years old are invited to participate in an introduction to alpine skiing called Mysnow Experience, offered by the Québec Ski Area Association. The team is looking forward to meeting the youngsters and teaching them this fabulous sport in a fun and safe way. The activity is free. Departure point near the Manoir.

The open air, a stroll outdoors, and a panoramic view-what a way to whet your appetite! Parc de la Chute-Montmorency is a dream location for a family picnic. Tables are available for visitors at several site locations. A big tent near the Manoir is also open to the public. It's perfect in the event of bad weather.

Three playgrounds are available for young children.

Trails 0.5 to 3 km long criss-cross the park. Go for a stroll to see the falls and the site's curiosities from many angles. Exceptional panoramas are yours to discover! For a good physical workout, try the panoramic staircase with its 487 steps from the bottom to the top of the park. It snakes its way up the side of the cliff, enabling you to see and hear the powerful falls.

Two bike paths cut through the park: one above the falls and the other below. The one below runs by the river along Route 138. It links Domaine Maizeret to Côte-de-Beaupré while going by Montmorency Falls. Above the falls, the other path follows Avenue Royale through Beauport. It leads to Boischatel and the Côte-de-Beaupré plateau. Combine the two paths by using the cable car! This offer is valid if room on the cable car permits.

Don’t miss the 1st edition of Féerie hivernale. On the program: snow tubing, inflatable games, sleigh rides from the cable car station to the sugarloaf, hot air balloon flights, outdoor bar and much more!

At the Ascensation ice climbing school, headed by mountaineer adventurer François-Guy Thivierge, thrill seekers will have a chance to try this sport and rappel down the frozen cliff.

The activities will take place at the foot of the falls and near the Manoir. For families and everyone who loves the great outdoors!

Come meet Mathilde Robin, the young women with a broken heart who became the legendary Dame Blanche meet her at the Boichatel hydro platform near the suspended bridge.

Take part in a historic meeting with Sir Frederick Haldimand, 3rd governor of the province of Québec. Meet near the Manoir Montmorency fountain.

Period: Summer weekends only (until September 5, 2011)

Théâtre La Dame Blanche is set on the edge of the cliff just a few steps from Manoir Montmorency and the cable car station. The theatre holds 470 people and there are 6 places for wheelchairs. For an even more enjoyable evening, have dinner at Manoir Montmorency before the show.

All aboard! The cable car provides you with an easy link between the upper and lower portions of the park. It takes only a few minutes to reach Manoir Montmorency from the downstream station at the level of the St. Lawrence. Enjoy the ride and an exceptional view! It can accommodate 40 people per gondola.
